Start with the right questions

A store starts
with a clear idea.

Before choosing a theme or promoting a product, take a moment to understand how the pieces of the business fit together. These are some of the topics I explore in my content.

Introductory notes on dropshipping and e-commerce, by Ellen Gimigliano.

1

What will you offer?

Start with the people you want to reach and the need your product addresses. In dropshipping, a supplier ships the order to the customer, but the store still owns the customer experience. Product quality and delivery times matter.

2

Is your store easy to understand?

A product page should explain what you're selling, who it's for and what to expect from delivery. Clear photos, descriptions, navigation and contact information help visitors make an informed decision.

3

What happens after an order?

Running a store includes everything that happens after a purchase. Understand the journey from payment to supplier, shipping and customer support. Working without your own inventory still takes planning and involves costs.

4

What can you learn along the way?

Pay attention to visitors' questions and how they move through your store. These observations can help you improve product information and communication. Building a business takes testing and learning; income is never guaranteed.

Practical ideas.
A global perspective.

I'm Ellen. My work brings together dropshipping, e-commerce, digital marketing and online entrepreneurship.

I focus on explaining processes in a practical, approachable way: from an initial store idea to organizing a catalog, choosing tools and supporting customers. That work is also shaping my educational project, Sell or Die.

A project in progress

Sell or Die.

An educational project I'm developing.

What is Sell or Die?

It's the name of the educational project I'm developing around dropshipping and e-commerce. I'm currently preparing the lessons. The course hasn't launched and isn't available to purchase.

Who is this page for?

How is this related to Shopify?

Shopify is one of the e-commerce platforms I explore in my work. This is an independent project. It isn't an official Shopify course and doesn't imply approval or endorsement by Shopify.
